Following message will be received in case of approved / Registered device from 8484 after entering the IMEI number of your phone. NEXT message is for a valid device but that is not approved / Registered by PTA.

Now if you want to register an iPhone, smartphones and tablets or networking equipment in Pakistan, you need to go through the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) process. 

This involves a few critical steps:

Device Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) Registration

that PTA introduced (DIRBS) to manage and regulate mobile devices. All mobile phones used or imported into Pakistan must be registered through this system. Now click the “sign up” option.

Documents Required for Registration: 

For a smooth registration process, you will need CNIC/NICOP, an active Pakistani SIM card registered in your name, the mobile device’s IMEI number(s), a functional email address.

it’s important to note that this portal is accessible only from within Pakistan.

Once you enter the details, a confirmation email will reach you via SMS and email as well to activate your account.

The system will then require you to fill your IMEI- Number which is a fifteen digit long code of the device. You can check the number by typing *#06# from keyboard of your device. You can also look for the IMEI number from the box or literature accompanying your device.

Please note on the above form, the contact number should be valid because you will receive onetime six digit pin / OTP on this number after entering the IMEI number and submitting it.

After entering the OTP and again submit the form and you will be provided a PSID (Payment System Identification Number). And it can be paid through selected bank counters, ATMs or online banking app using the PSID as reference number .

Your application will be processed and approved when you pay the tax amount. The confirmation messages will be received from 8483 number.

This streamlined process reflects PTA’s commitment to making the mobile usage experience in Pakistan as seamless as possible.
